The truth and humor of fatherhood —comedy from Jim Gaffigan…
(CUSA) – If you haven’t hard of the comedian Jim Gaffigan whose primary material comes from raising 5 kids it’s time to hear what he has to say for a good laugh based on the family life:
“People treat having a kid as somehow retiring from success. Quitting. Have you seen a baby? They’re pretty cute. Loving them is pretty easy. Smiling babies should actually be categorized by the pharmaceutical industry as a powerful antidepressant. Being happy is really the definition of success, isn’t it?”
His comedy show was rejected by the networks because he is Catholic and part of his life includes a priest which they couldn’t tolerate. They wanted him to change it to a married minister.
His show was finally picked up by TVLand and it premiered this summer. You can read more of his quotes and quips at Fatherly.com. —Ed.
